Our expenses keep increasing due in part to an increase in the number of animals we assist and rising veterinary costs. We need volunteers willing to donate time, knowledge and energy to promote fundraising events for the Shelter. This is a great opportunity for those who wish to assist the GBAS by volunteering their creative and social skills in the worthy cause of caring for our animals.

Volunteer at the Shelter
We are primarily a volunteer based organization and as such, volunteers are our most valuable asset. We are proud of volunteers who attend the shelter on a regular basis to assist with cleaning, office duties and exercising our dogs. However, we can always use more animal lovers to assist us in maintaining the high standard of care and affection that we offer our animals. Volunteers are needed to assist in cleaning, transporting animals, office duties, public relations, gardening, promotions, sponsorship and performing the many other duties needed to ensure the successful operation of our shelter. Whatever your special interests are, volunteering will enable you to use your special talents to HELP us HELP our cats and dogs to a better life.
